HellermannTyton complies with the Electronic Industries Association color coding standard which defines colors used in identification of electronic components and equipment and establishes a standard color-number relationship. The following is the color-number suffix for HellermannTyton part numbers and military standard part numbers.

A Elevated temperatures, over time, will affect materials properties such as tensile strength, stiffness, elongation and appearance. HellermannTyton recommends the evaluation of cable ties in the actual application to determine the suitability of the tie for that application.
