| | Vinyl-Coated Fiberglass Sleeving | BACK to Tubing and Sleeving Applications | Typical Properties Product Construction Natvar vinyl-coated glass consists of braided glass tubing coated with a vinyl compound specially formulated for high dielectric strength and good heat resistance. Product Advantages Good physical strength, flexibility and toughness at a economical price make vinyl-coated sleeving the ideal selection for use in equipment designed for Class 105 and Class 130 service. It does not disintegrate nor swell after 48 hours in transformer oil at 105C and it resists waxes, alcohol, petroleum solvents, esters, and many alkalies and acids. Because of the specially formulated vinyl coating, excellent resistance to cut- through, abrasion and cold flow is achieved. Vinyl-coated sleeving is flame retardant (self-extinguishing within 15 seconds), and resists cracking at temperatures as low as -40C. It is especially resistant to solvents used in electrical varnishes. Applications -
Potted coils -
Motor and transformer leads connection -
Switchboard wiring instruments -
